I just wanted to post a little tribute to Carson. He was a special little boy that we met up at Primary Children's. He was diagnosed with a brain tumor in July when he was only 16 mos. old. The hospitals in Anchorage where his family is from couldn't treat him and sent him here for surgery and chemotherapy. What a sweet little boy, he fought so hard for his life and surprised the doctors with the obstacles that he was able to overcome. In November Carson got an infection, he spent 3 weeks fighting for his life in the PICU. He was finally able to go back up to his regular room in Dec.
In February the doctors did some more tests and found that his cancer had spread and there was nothing more they could do for him. His family decided to take him home so they could all be together. Carson's mom had a baby in the first part of March, a little boy named Jaxon, and he also has a big sister Hanna. I just found out that this special little boy that fought so hard passed away on March 30.
My heart goes out to Clint and Heidi as well as their kids.
Very sad, Mel, but that's nice you paid tribute to him in your blog. It is really sad the things you find out and learn as you hang out at the hospital. I bet you met some wonderful people there!! SO glad your Kurtis is doing so well. :)

Melanie that is really sad about Carsons passing, but that is a really neat story about how hard he fought while he was still here. They look like a beautiful family. What a blessing to have been able to meet such a strong little boy during the time that he was here. :)
Oh so sad. Thank heavens for the kowledge of the gospel and the Plan of Salvation. What a little angel.
