Yesterday at about 6:30, the doctors started little Kurtis' chemotherapy. He still has to remain in the ICU because the tumor is pressing in on his lungs still and until his breathing improves, he'll be in the ICU. Once his breathing improves, he will be moved back to the ICS unit where he can be in his own room.
Kurtis was extubated yesterday morning, so he no longer has the breathing tube in his mouth, but the tumor is pressing in on his lung where makes him tire outvery fast. Since he has been having problems eating, they had to put in an eating tube which is going into his stomach through his nose. Believe me, it looks a lot better than the tube that was helping him breathe. We found a computer that the hospital staff will let us use to upload pictures. I'll try to do that later today.
